High Fructose Nightmare and Incredibly Short Workouts

There were a couple of exceptionally interesting new stories out this week on exercise and diet.

High-fructose corn syrup is a grocery store staple, an inexpensive additive found in everything from soda to spaghetti sauce. We already know that diets heavy in it are a likely road to obesity and diabetes, but according to a new study funded by the National Institutes of Health, fructose may also be doing widespread damage to our genes and brain.

1 minute of all-out exercise may have all of the same benefits as 45 minutes of moderate exercise.

The scientifically backed, full-body 7-minute workout.
